Optimism and Yellow Squash

Posted on September 16th, 2009 by Toms Price Home.

Continuing with the garden produce/interior design connection, this chair is so yellow and looks so squash-able — never overlook comfort in the furniture you choose.

We need a sunny disposition to get through the news these days. Remember the Pantone color for 2009? Yellow. It can give a lift to your attitude and your interiors!

Some of my favorite sunny dispositions in the movies:
The lead character “Poppy”, in Happy-Go-Lucky; “Solo”, in Goodbye Solo; “Amelie”, in the French movie of the same name; and “Ashley”, played by Amy Adams, in Junebug.

Actually the "yellow" that Pantone selected for the 2009 color of year is more of a goldenrod, then a squash.

Personally, I think the squash color of your featured chair is much more sophisticated than the saturated and boisterous Mimosa yellow chosen by Pantone.
