Another design issue that many people struggle with is color. People want to show the latest color trends in their homes. Interior design has become much like the fashion industry with new colors coming in and out every season.
I feel it is really important for people to choose colors that they love – not what the current trend might be. If you surround yourself with colors you love, it does make you happy. You might gravitate to fall colors: hues of brown, red, orange and green. Or, you could feel best surrounded by ocean colors: hues of blue and sand. Then again you may love the colors of summer: raspberry, soft greens and yellows. Choosing what you love seems like such a simple solution, but it’s one that makes perfect sense for the long term enjoyment of your home.
