The Lampshade

Posted on May 27th, 2010 by Toms Price Home.

Emblem of silly costumes, Major Awards and party-goers everywhere. It gets no respect! Yet, the shade can be the most creative and eye-catching part of a lamp. Take the mica shade on an Arts & Crafts lamp, for instance — practically colorless until it is turned on. Or the filmy effect of a shade-within-a-shade on some of our new lamps. At Toms-Price we have shades in striped fabric, with beaded trim or intricate pleats. In shapes that are oval, square or seductively curved.

The shade is how a lamp gets dressed when it covers the bare and naked bulb. Let it join the party and have a little fun!
