One of the new 2012 home-inspired color palletes, explored by Leatrice Eiseman for Pantone, is called “Comic Book”. I took these display photos (click to enlarge) at the recent Chicago Housewares Show.
The use of black, especially as outlining, is very comicbook-like, shown in this jewel rug from our Wheaton rug gallery.
These words were used to describe this color story:
Exaggerated, laughing-out-loud, giddy, zany, absurd and a-barrel-of-laughs.
