So. Barrington Toms-Price Collecting Toys for Tots through Dec. 8

Posted on November 14th, 2013 by Toms Price Home.

Toys for Tots LogoMarine Toys for Tots is in its 66th year of service! Toms-Price Furniture, in the South Barrington Arboretum, is a 2013 holiday Toys for Tots drop off location.

Toms-Price manager, Helen Rafdahl, and the design team at South Barrington are excited to have the opportunity to assist this organization, founded by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. For more than half a century, generous people have helped with distributing toys, books and other gifts to millions of less fortunate children throughout the country. There are an estimated 16.4 million children living in poverty and desolation whose families struggle to provide food, much less gifts, at Christmas.

Rafdahl said of the donation opportunity, “On a personal note, Christmas is my favorite time of year! The saying, ‘It is better to give than receive’ has resonated with me from a very young age. My parents were very giving and generous to the needy and I learned generosity from them. Toys for Tots donations are the perfect way to create some happy smiles for those who are in need.”

Please bring a NEW and UNWRAPPED TOY to Toms-Price in South Barrington by DECEMBER 8th, and receive a $50.00 gift certificate to use towards any purchase of $250 or more. Don’t miss a great opportunity to make a child happier this holiday season!
