Giving Memories

Posted on December 6th, 2007 by Toms Price Home.

Something that you new grandma’s or grandma’s-to-be can do, is every year give your grandchild an ornament that has some significance to the child’s age or current interest. I usually write the date on the back of it. By the time that grandchild is married, think of all the wonderful ornaments and memories that he or she will have for the first tree. Each one will hold a special meaning, and they will always fondly remember the “grandma” who gave it to them. It’s a wonderful tradition to begin, and it’s never too late to start.

My Nana did this for me and I am now 38 years old with kids of my own! I look at those ornaments every Christmas and think of the wonderful woman that gave them to me. My Mom is doing the same for each of my kids and they love it too!
