Natalie Baker, an interior designer at our Skokie Old Orchard store, says:
The Nichols & Stone Banyan dining table is my favorite furniture pick in the Toms-Price showroom. It fits in so many casual and semi-formal dining areas – everything from an urban space, to a farmhouse or lake cottage!
The 40” x 78” antiqued trestle design works beautifully for families where a distressed table top is both practical and attractive. It will easily withstand daily wear and tear from children. Notable elements in this table, that make it my favorite furniture pick, include a thick, hand-planed birch top with tapered edges. It comes with two 16” extension leaves to welcome up to ten people at the table. Conspicuously designed cross stretchers support the table’s base and give it a rustic industrial flavor.
The Banyan table is available with Banyan arm chairs and side chairs that are completely wrapped in saddle leather with distinctive leather stitching. Any number of other great Nichols & Stone chair designs work beautifully with the Banyan, too. You may want to consider the good-looking 68″ Banyan Bench for seating.
