The rug and the original pattern receive the color a little differently.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Overdyed rugs have been very popular the last few years and provide a vibrant backdrop and personality to your space.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15109\" src=\"http:\/\/tomsprice.blogs.eprevue.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2019\/09\/overdyed-rugs.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2048\" height=\"1283\" \/><br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Andy Ingle, Oriental Rug Specialist at Toms Price in Wheaton, IL explains, \u201cThis art form began in Istanbul, Turkey as a means of recycling vintage and antique carpets. They leave little to waste in the Middle East, so they were able to turn something old into something new and very popular.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Overdyed rugs; also known as distressed rugs, are sheared low and then chemically washed to remove the color before they are saturated with one dye color. The saturation process is repeated until the desired depth is reached. The dyes set differently in the carpet depending on the length of the yarn that is left. Overdyed rugs are sustainable since older rugs are being recycled to achieve this distinctive look.<\/p>\n<p>Toms Price announced the recent opening of three Rug Studios at its Lincolnshire, Skokie and Wheaton locations to enhance the customer shopping experience. The Rug Studio carries thousands of rugs and is centrally located in each store, merchandised by price for ease in shopping.
