Are you into the earthy, grayed woods now available in furniture? This big trend is increasing in popularity. Two of the most important things to consumers of home furnishings these days are casual comfort and capturing a personal style. Weathered gray says “casual” right off the bat. It also has an intriguing individuality. “Gray is the new brown,” says Toms-Price casegoods buyer Georgeann Anderson. Many new gray wood collections are heading to Toms-Price and Anderson thinks customers will love them.<\/div>\n

Bernhardt<\/a><\/span> recently debuted a new collection called Marquesa<\/a><\/span>. It’s now available at Toms-Price. “I think we are one of the first stores in the area that will showcase Marquesa,” says Anderson.\u00a0 “It incorporates serene gray woods along with more modern elements,” she relates. With this new collection, Bernhardt hopes to bring sophistication to your home and at the same time make it comfortable and livable. The Bernhardt company refers to Marquesa as a “neo-traditional collection that pairs classic forms with contemporary finishes.”<\/div>\n

European Elements<\/h3>\n
These are some of the European elements Marquesa quietly shows off: sumptuous tufting on the upholstered chairs, antiqued mirrors with seeded glass and graceful carved-back dining chairs.
\nOn the modern side of Marquesa, an alchemy of mixed materials and finishes has taken place. Bernhardt has made this collection both earthy in its colorations and luxurious in the addition of silver leafing and metal rosettes. The grayed woods are rustic, but become glamorous and sophisticated at the same time.<\/div>\n
